In 2019 GE appliances stepped back into the small appliances market. After an initial launch of basic appliances a stand mixer was added to the product plan. The challenge was to create product that could compete with the well established industry standard.
Ideation for this mixer was a consistent give and take. We wanted to stand out while also understanding that the typical mixer consumer was drawn to traditional mixer forms.
As we progressed through initial CAD the mixer was pushed further towards the nostalgic mixer form know by millions.
